Shania in this new issue of Country Weekly talks about her mom. Shania says: "My mother lived for my career. We were extremely poor when I was a kid, and my mother had five children and no food to feed them. She knew I was talented, and she lived with the hope that my abilities were my chance to do something special."

Shania's video "I Ain't No Quitter" was previewed on CMT Insider today. Here are a some captures from what is going to be another hit video from Shania!!! The video premieres on CMT Top 20 Countdown, May 5th.

0504.28-VIDEO DEBUT-"I Ain't No Quitter":

According to CMT, Shania's NEW video for her song "I Ain't No Quitter", will debut next Thursday, May 5th.on the CMT Top 20 Countdown show.

0504.24-"I Ain't No Quitter", released to radio [NMC]:

The determined young singer from Timmins, Ontario, Canada that fought for control of her videos, struggled to get past a weak debut album and unsuccessful debut singles, emerging with a sophomore album that ranks as one of the biggest female albums in history on her way to international
superstardom, has released a new single from her greatest hits album. The title of which seems all to fitting, "I Ain't No Quitter." It's at radio as of April 20 from Shania Twain.

0504.18-Scentstories a success [Business Week]:

Febreze announces the success of Scentstories, a product that Shania has been endorsing. The scent player is such a blockbuster success that P&G is looking to eventually release a gadget that plays scents as well as songs, says John Sebastian, brand manager for the Scentstories product line. To pave the way, Scentstories has already collaborated with singer Shania Twain on a fragrance disk, which has no music tracks. Entitled "Shania's Wishes for Spring," it features odors like daffodils and citrus.

0504.17-Larry King interview in May [OFC]:

Shania is scheduled to appear on Larry King Live on May 23rd. The CNN program airs nightly from 9 to 10pm ET. Be sure to tune in!

0504.15-More Quitter News [CMT Canada]:

Recently Shania was in Tijuana, Mexico to shoot the upcoming video for ‘Ain’t No Quitter.’ The video was shot over two days and only one with Shania. Shania’s inspiration for the clip came from Urban Cowboy and the director took her idea and vamped it up for 2005. The director also mixed up the dances so it wasn’t all country and two steppin’. The best part is that it all takes place in the setting of a country bar. Now as you can imagine there aren’t many country bars in Mexico so the director converted a steak house restaurant into the bar you will see in the video. He even brought in the bar, the dancers and all of the neon from Los Angeles. We can’t wait to see it!

0504.15-One ACM nomination for Shania:

Shania was nominated for Vocal Event of the Year, for her single with Billy Currington, "Party For Two". The award show will be broadcast on May 17th on CBS.

0504.13-"I Ain't No Quitter" [SD City Beat]:

Shania's last single from her Greatest Hits CD, "I Ain't No Quitter" hits the country airwaves on May 2nd. Shania was in Mexico this past March to film the video, which is directed by Wayne Isham. He directed Shania's last video for the awesome single DON'T, which you should still request on country and AC Radio!!! The San Diego City Beat reports the following.....

Pedal steel player Rick Schmidt of local Americana band The Shadowdogs got the opportunity of a lifetime on March 13 when he received a call from an assistant producer on a video shoot for country superstar Shania Twain. With a video being shot in an old Tijuana building for the tune “I Aint No Quitter,” director Wayne Isham (Metallica, Dave Matthews) needed extra musicians for key scenes in the clip, and Schmidt fit the bill. Schmidt’s son Cole was also used as an extra, but a few hours of watching Twain’s dancers strut their stuff couldn’t have been too shabby, either.

Shania went home empty handed, with the collaboration award going to Alison Krauss and Brad Paisley. Shania did open the show with a skit that made fun of the opening of her video 'Party for Two'. REQUEST THE SONG-DON'T!!!

Shania on ACC TOP 40 was asked what her perfect day off would be. Shania replied: well I enjoy getting a massage that would be luxurious---I enjoy being with horses so that would be ---I'm like a kid in a candy store if I'm around horses for the day...----hummm and just doing laid back things ... yeah a day of luxury would be reading just a day to read or a day in a book store that would be really fun----- I love spending time of course with my SON --- kicking the ball around...swimming and just doing kids stuff thats REALLY GREAT FUN!... "This is just another step in our exciting partnership with Shania Twain -- the many musical components of the campaign complement the unique ability Scentstories provides for consumers to play scents like they play music." The Shania DVD contains behind the scenes footage from her photo shoot for Scentstories, and "I'm Gonna Getcha Good" and "Forever and For Always" videos. Shania was presented with the $100,000 check on the Tony Danza Show last week.

A message from Tracy at the STC : Last year's fan convention had special guests for everyone to meet, and we decided that we should have special guests again this year. Therefore, if scheduling permits, we would like to have band members join us again at the convention. We hope to have at least 2 band members attend. 1. JD Blair, 2.
