From the STC: A really great reporter from the Daily Press was in today to do an article on the new exhibit and we were talking about the upcoming Convention. She would like to write a story on where people travel from for the convention and what draws them to our community. Whether you are from around the world, or right next door, I would love it if you contacted her with your comments. It doesn't have to be long, just as long as you take the time to contact her. 0604.25-STC saves Timmins' music history [Ch3]:

The Maple Leaf Hotel, housed the musical beginnings of Stompin' Tom Connors, Michell Wright and Shania Twain. The Maple Leaf Hotel may be slated for the wrecking ball, but it looks like its memory will live-on at the Shania Twain Centre. Reporter Corinna Wrona interviewed Tracy at the STC and managed to get a glimpse of the exhibit. Tracy said that the exhibit should be completed by the end of the month. This is one of the many exhibits you can see when you join Shania fans from around the world this August at Fan Con 4.

On eating healthy: "I tend to graze more when I'm too busy for a big meal. I'm not a junk food eater. The only junk food I eat is fries. Every couple of weeks, I'll have restaurant fries."

On her body after childbirth: "I liked my body when it was tiny, but my jeans fit better now that I don't have a tiner waist. With athletic thighs and a tiny waist, it's hard to fit pants."

On weight and the scale: "You need to be a healthy weight, meaning, if you're not comfortable with the way you sit and move and fit clothing then you probably need to lose weight."

Tracy has lined up some great guests for Fan Con 4 this August. As has been the tradition since Fan Con 2, members of Shania's band have made the journey to Timmins to meet the fans. This year,  three of the "Fabulous Falls" will be there. JD Blair who has attended every  Fan Con since the second year will be joined by another returning guest, Randall Waller and the latest member of the Falls to come on over, Roddy Chiong.  Some come join the fun!
