0512.28-ET Canada Interview:

ET Canada ran a recent interview with Shania. She talked about her son Eja and keeping him away from her celebrity "I don't want Eja to see it, he's to young. He doesn't know who Shania is. Rarely caught in a situation where Eja hears the name "Shania". Eja knows me as "Maman". Mutt and Eja go before her..." Shania was also asked if she was interested in having another child, her reply, "No, I'm happy with one. I know how to manage my time I can handle one (laughs)" Shania also mentioned her perfume, "I want it that when you spray, I want to smell it 20 hours later. I love the smell of fresh air, roses..." Shania also mentioned Canada, "Let's just say if you drop me off blind folded and didn't tell where, I would know I was in Canada, especially up North. I would know where I was, it's goes very deep."

Shania in a taped appearance on the Style Network show "Isaac", talked about fashion. Shania says she has to wear something comfortable. "I won't suffer for fashion." Isaac thinks her Super bowl outfit is divine. He also loves her gold bikini/genie outfit from the American Music Awards in 2003. Shania goes right out there and right for it. He also commented that Shania sometimes alters her performance outfits to use them in her everyday life. He asked what Shania would do with the bikini outfit, Shania laughed and said "I wouldn't go to the supermarket in that!" Isaac also asked Shania what was the worst gift Mutt ever got her. Steve mentions meeting Shania, Yeah, we met a few times. She threw a huge banquet concert in Timmins, Ontario, in 1999. She had a big dinner the night before the concert and I was invited to go meet her. I was star struck when I met her. We talked for awhile, and during the concert, she brought me on stage with her. She's a great girl, down to earth. Her fame hasn't changed her. She's totally down to earth.

0512.17-Anne Murray mentions Shania [LFP]:

Still, the veteran performer says she sees the backlash happen with other Canadian superstars all the time. "I saw an article on Shania . . . somebody putting Shania Twain down and this was a Canadian guy," said Murray. "I thought, 'What is there to dislike about Shania Twain?' She's beautiful. She sings great. She writes great songs. She's a good person. "I look at that and think, 'Why do people try to look so hard for something bad about somebody?' "

0512.16-Shania wins Billboard Album Award:

While it was not announced on the Billboard Music Awards Show on December 6th. The recent edition of Billboard Magazine, lists Shania as the winner the Billboard Top Country Album of the Year Award, for her Greatest Hits CD. Congratulations Shania!!!!

0512.10-Shania attends Buble's concert:

Shania and Mutt took time out from writing her next album to attend a concert in Salzburg, Austria by her favorite singer Michael Buble. Shania requested a meeting with the singer, and was able to meet him back stage after the concert. (Read the article here, it has been translated on the STNAOFC Board) Back in June 2005 it was reported that Michael Buble's new CD "It's Time" is one of Shania's favorite new discs. Even Mutt Lange, Shania Twain's husband and record producer, called Buble's manager Bruce Allen the other day, extolling his love for It's Time. Can't get the record out of Shania's hands, he said. It's absolutely one of the top 10 greatest records of the year, he insisted.

0512.07-Pop version of Shoes [joebermudez]:

The lead single from the Desperate Housewives soundtrack, this was a real honor to work on. Not only has the show become a cult phenomenon, but the original was produced by one of my idols, Robert John "Mutt" Lange, who I also got to work with on this project. The song compares men to shoes and will soon be a line dancing classic. The show's producers wanted something a little more hip to air on of the episodes though so Josh and I added our magic touch. Well, Shania maybe off working on her new album, but she did some interviews with CMT and STYLE before heading off for home. CMT will have a Shania interview on CMT Insider on December 10th. Shania talks about her new perfume line. Then on December 20th, Shania is on the STYLE network talking with Isaac.

Shania Twain may be a chart-topper in the music world, but she's failed to crack the list of 100 richest Canadians -- again. The seventh annual list compiled by Canadian Business magazine has distinct lack of star power, with Twain, Jim Carrey, Keanu Reeves and Celine Dion all failing to make the lineup. "Shania Twain has never been on the list," said Canadian Business senior associate editor Alex Mlynek. "We did look at her this year and she wasn't quite there. She's definitely close." However, Shania is among the richest celebrities in Switzerland, according to this Swiss article.

In an interview about turning down a reality television series, Bo Derek mentioned that she wants to keep her private life private, and mentions Shania. She explains, "SHANIA TWAIN is an acquaintance of mine; she's got a serious private life and she's the biggest thing there is." Shania's Stetson Hat auction for America's Second Harvest has raised over 8,000 dollars. Shania, along with 15 other famous personalities like Teri Hatcher, Patrick Swayze, LeAnne Rimes, Chris Isaak, Jewel and Martha Stewart, added their own personal flare and signature to a Stetson Cowboy Hat. Great work all!!
