CMT aired a new episode of "40 Greatest" last night. The episode covered the 40 Greatest Firsts in Country Music. Some of the categories included, "Women in Country", "Crossovers", and "Record Firsts". Shania was only mentioned for showing her midriff in a country music video. Apparently it was the first time something like that was done.  I guess being the only artist in history to have three consecutive diamonds, and having the sixth best selling album of all time means nothing to them.

Last year, the ACM placed a banner advertisement on the Yahoo! home page. "We dressed it with a photo of Shania Twain and received 2.5 million hits on our site in less than 24 hours," Romeo says. "It was unbelievable exposure."

The red stagecoach, promoting a new Shania Twain fragrance by Stetson's, was heading east on 14th Street between Eighth and Ninth Avenues about 9:30 a.m. when it was struck from the rear by a white van, Mr. Palaz told the police. The stagecoach tipped over, letting the horses slip free of their harness and bolt east, past a Starbucks, Gristedes and Papaya King. The van sped off, too. No one was hurt, and a reward has been posted for information on the hit and run driver.
