Much to the relief of Shania Twain and husband, Robert "Mutt" Lange, construction on the couple's home and sheep ranch in Wanaka, New Zealand is getting underway at long last. 0605.19-STC-"Ain't No Quitter!" [STC]:

Tracy previewed another new exhibit on the STC message board. Tracy and her staff are putting together an exhibit for Shania's last video "I Ain't No Quitter!". So far there is a green piano, and a mannequin dressed in Shania's outfit from the video. GREAT JOB!!!!!!!!

0605.19-More STC news [Timmins Times]:

The Timmins Times printed an article on the new Maple Leaf exhibit at the Shania Twain Centre....If you can’t bring them to the attraction, bring the attraction to you. That is what the Shania Twain Centre is doing with an exhibit which has become synonymous with its namesake.
While a teenager, Shania Twain used to sing at the Maple Leaf Tavern. However, the establishment has since fallen on hard times and has been turned over to the city. "We had always wanted to bring some of the material from the Maple Leaf for a display," said Tracy Hautanen, Shania Twain Centre manager. "It was still owned privately, and some people were looking at buying it, but when it became city property, we went in there right away." The scavenging tour yielded some unique items, such as a portion of the bar, original mirrors and wall paneling.  According to Hautanen, the Centre will purchase a karaoke machine and visitors will be allowed to go up on the stage do strut their stuff. While up there, they will be looking at the salvaged items from the Maple Leaf, mimicking what Shania was looking at when she was singing in the country bar years ago.
The Maple Leaf exhibit should be opened next month at the Shania Twain Centre. Hautanen said that several of the visitors registered for the August convention are looking forward to the newest display. "So far there are more than 50 registered for the convention and most of them are coming from Europe," she said. "We even have some coming for their fourth convention (this is the fourth year for the event)."

0605.09-Shania to shoot video, this summer? [Czech]:

Alena Klenot, an image consult a native Czech image consultant with a flair for hair, and more...was profiled in an article for Czech Business mentions  she would be working with Shania this summer to shoot a video. "And although she’s returning to Canada this summer to work with Shania Twain and Canadian “Pop Idol” winners on new music videos, her plans to open two more locations are still underway."  Hopefully further details will be forthcoming.
