0509.28-The STC would like some snow [STC]:

Check out the Shania Twain Centre message board for details of a contest they are holding. We are inviting everyone to make a "SNOWFLAKE" for the Shania Twain Centre. Do you remember cutting out paper snowflakes when you were little........well that's all we're asking for. You can decorate them if you would like to, or you can just cut out a snowflake, put your user name on it, and send it in. We're going to add your snowflakes to our homecoming display and see how it looks. Now, we are still working on a "Prize" for this event, but we haven't quite decided what it is going to be yet. All I can tell you is it is NOT going to be an autographed item as I am all out. (sorry) When I have decided what it is, I'll be sure to post it. So check out their board for details!

Billy Currington performs "Party For Two" at his concerts, his fans sing the Shania parts. Way to go Billy!!!! The crowd couldn’t get enough of him. Currington is currently nominated for the CMA’s Vocal Event of the Year with Shania Twain for their song, “Party For Two.” Currington performed the song using audience participation on Twain’s part. It was fun.

Shania is also scheduled to appear on the CMA show in New York City on November 15th. The CMA's will be held in NY this year, rather than Nashville.

Shania in this 1993 interview with a New England DJ, talks about her album shoot. Shania mentioned that she thought she could treat the wolf Kane (see the cover of her first album) like a dog. She said he wound up ripping some of her clothes along with a few other people's clothes as well.

0509.11-Fan Con 4 dates announced [STC]:

The Shania Twain Centre has announced the dates for Fan Con 4.August 10th to the 13th 2006. Exact details of the events being planned will be announced early next year.

0509.07-CMA Nomination for Shania:

Shania was nominated for one award. She is nominated along with Billy Currington for "Party For Two" in the "Musical Event of the Year". This is Billy's first CMA nomination, and the first nomination Shania has received since 1999.

0509.04-Shania's Shoes update [yahoo]:

According to yahoo, Shania's single "Shoes" goes to radio on September 6th. However as fans already know stations have started to play it. PLEASE CONTINUE TO REQUEST THIS AWESOME SONG FROM THE Desperate Housewives Soundtrack. There will also be a pop version of the song. "It's upbeat, playful and from a female point of view," compilation supervisor Mitchell Leib says. Produced by Twain's husband, Robert John "Mutt" Lange, "Shoes" will be released to country radio stations on September 6. A forthcoming pop remix will target adult contemporary (AC) and modern AC stations. The video is planned for a September 25th release. ABC and CMT are in talks to debut the video on the same day.

Fans are reporting that some Sears stores do not know anything about the DVD promotion. If you find one of these stores please let Coty customer service know!!! You can email them here.

0509.01-Shania perfume on sale now!! [STNAOFC]:

According to fans on the STNAOFC board, Sears is giving away a free Shania video DVD with the purchase of "Shania" by Stetson perfume. The disc cover art contains new pictures of Shania, as well as a "making of" video of the perfume. Videos included "The Woman in Me", "Love Gets Me Every Time", "I Ain't No Quitter", "You've Got A Way", "Up!", and "Forever and For Always".

0508.31-Shania may appear on Desperate Housewives:

In the September 12th issue of Country Weekly it is being reported that Shania may appear in an episode of Desperate Housewives. Shania's song Shoes, appears on the CD soundtrack for the show, which is set for release on September 20th. The single has started to appear on radio stations around the USA. The single's official release is September 12th.

According to the Globe and Mail, the unauthorized movie about Shania Twain will not air as scheduled. Stay tuned for details.

The Shania Twain North American Online Fan Club has launched its annual charity fundraiser to raise money for America's Second Harvest and Kid's Cafe. Over the next 4 weeks Shania memorabilia will be auctioned off to raise money for these two charities. Items have been donated by fans, Coty US LLC, Q Prime, and Mercury Records / UMG.
