Starting October 1st, a special edition bottle of Shania's perfume will go on sale with the proceeds going to breast cancer research. More details to follow.

0609.22-CMT Top 40 Greatest Albums:

The CMT special aired this evening, and Shania Twain's "The Woman In Me" made the top 10, coming in at #8. Shania was the ONLY FEMALE ARTIST to make the top 10. The number one album was Willie Nelson's Red Headed Stranger. Congratulations Shania!. It is just too bad "Come On Over" was not on the list.

In a 1996 article in Saturday Night Magazine John Derek talked about working with Shania Twain on her video "Whose Bed Have Your Boots Been Under". Here is an excerpt...He steps away to buzz his wife through the ranch's security gate. In a moment, Bo, star of 10 and producer of the Twain video, glides into the kitchen. She professes admiration for Twain, "especially for hanging in with John, 'cause he's not easy. He's very opinionated, outspoken, and tough." Tough at first, maybe, but now downright complimentary. DOCBill, a super Shania fan from the STNAOFC, is continuing his charity work with an initiative that would make Shania Twain very proud. Once again, he is organizing a group of marathon runners to raise money for important causes, such as "America's Second Harvest", Shania's favorite charity: "I will be running in “The 2006 Marine Corps Marathon” in Washington, DC on Oct 29th representing the “Miles For Meals” running club in its effort to raise money for America’s Second Harvest Program and a program called “Kids Café”. “Kids Café” is a charity organization that fights childhood hunger in America. In support of my effort at the “Country Music Marathon” in April we raised $4000.00 to benefit Kid’s Café! Thank You! If you have an interest in donating money toward this run and in support of the “Kids Café” program please let either me know and I’d be happy to accept that contribution and provide you with a receipt for the tax deductible donation that will be used in its entirety to fight childhood hunger. If you need any more information on the 26.2 mile “Marine Corps Marathon” or on the “Kids Café” program please let me know.
