Its hard to put into words the effect Shania has had on me. I knock it
up to that feeling you finally have when you have your first child.
Before that you wonder what people are talking about! Well if you
haven't been to see Shania in concert its hard to describe the energy
that she spreads over all her fans and how she has you wanting more
when its over. I've never been in the presence of someone so beautiful
on the inside and out.
I feel very privileged to have been able to attend 2 of her concerts
in Vancouver (December 7th/03 & June 17th/04) and be in the presence

Shania...I have been lucky enough to see several shows on this tour,
and on your last tour. Aside from the fact that I simply cannot live
without your music, I find you live shows to more like a celebration
than a concert. Your (and the band's) interaction with the fans is
unforgettable. We know you do not have to wander into the audience,
sign autographs, invite us up on stage, or give high fives, but you
do. When you give such a performance it is really like going above and
beyond, and as fans, the experience is equally above and beyond any
other concert experience. The moment the lights go up after the
encore, I feel as if I cannot wait to see you again. It's a love
affair, no doubt, but one generated by your unequaled consideration
for us, and your incredible music. My four year old is already a big
fan, and sings along when your music is playing. (He can really rev

Dear Shania,
Forgive me, but what I have to say is pretty long, but I feel it is
important that I share all this with you.
I have been a fan of your music ever since the song “Any Man of Mine”
was released. When I joined the Shania Forums (www.shaniaforums.com)
last September, I remember mentioning how awesome it would be if you
came to London, Ontario. Then sometime in December when I found out
you were coming to London on Monday May 10th, I was totally freaked
out! I never heard anything about it until just like a few days before
the tickets were going to go on sale though. Our family doesn’t have
much money, so I had to beg and beg my mom and my brother to buy me
tickets. I told them “The chance of Shania coming to back to London is
rare. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity for me to see her and
you’re telling me I can’t go?!” I also squirted out some tears, which
seemed to have an effect because they caved in. It turned out that
since there was such demand for you here you decided to fit in another
show the next day. I begged her to buy me tickets to that show as
well, but she just couldn’t afford it.
Anyway, right after school on the10th, I headed downtown on the bus to
wait outside the John Labatt Centre in hopes to meet you or your band.
In the past I had met many other people outside the JLC such as Avril
Lavigne, and Nickelback so I figured I’d try to meet you. I got lucky
and met one of my favourite band members, Randall. He was such a funny
and nice dude.
Despite your voice, you still gave a great concert that night that me,
and my brother will never forget! I couldn’t have asked for a better
18th birthday present, even though my birthday was in April. My mom
could only afford upper bowl seats, but thanks to the genius person
who came up the round stage in the middle of the area, we could see
everything that was going on!
I took the next day off school because I was determined to meet you
and some of the other band members. At 8:00am my brother and me got on
the bus and headed downtown. It got extremely hot outside for May
weather. I would have preferred the rain and the hail that we had on
the Monday than all the heat. Security kept telling my brother and me
to go home because we didn’t stand a chance at meeting you, but we
were hard-core fans, well I am. They told us you would be showing up
around between 4:00 & 5:00. Sure enough at 4:05, two identical black
SUV’s pulled into the back area. We were informed you were in one of
them. Later on that afternoon, I met Cory and Allison, and then just
an hour before the concert that night, I met Roddy. At 9:00pm one
black SUV pulled in into the back area. I figured right after the
concert you’d be getting inside that SUV. At 9:32 the SUV pulls out
and I grab my stuff ready for you to sign because I knew you were in
there. For maybe about 5 seconds the SUV was right beside me and I
could see you in the back and I held out my Sharpie and UP! booklet
hoping the window would roll down and you would sign it, but the SUV
drove off quickly.
From 8:30am till 9:30pm we waited outside to meet you. I know you’re a
very busy person and I am sure if you only knew how long we had been
waiting, you would have rolled down the window or something. We got
badly sun burnt, but I think it was worth it. I really just wish I
could have met you.
Take a break, and rest that beautiful voice of yours, and please
consider going on another world tour, but be sure to put London
Ontario on the list of places to come to once more though! Hopefully
by then I will have found a job and therefore have money to afford
floor seating so I can see you up close or even get on stage to sing
with you. Even if London isn’t on the list, maybe I could afford to
take a Greyhound bus to another city to see you. Thank you, your band,
and your road crew for giving people all over the world an amazing
tour that is truly incomparable and that will never be forgotten!
P.S. if you do deicide to do a world tour again, consider performing
“Waiter! Bring Me Water!” I got friends to like your music because of
that song. Everyone loves it!

Shania... what can I say! You brought us the Up! Tour in full force!
You truly made a show that was not only for the fans, but one in which
every single member of the audience felt like you were there just for
them! And I can personally attest to feeling this way… because you
hand-picked me out of 16,000 screaming fans at your show in Winnipeg,
Manitoba on June 8th, 2004 to sing “You’re Still the One” with you on
stage! I know you do that at every show… so you probably don’t
remember me individually… but I just want you to know, if this letter
ever reaches your eyes… that in my entire life, I have never cried
because I was happy, only because I was sad… when you knelt down in
front of me on that stage and asked me to come up and sing with you…
that was the first moment in all of my entire 17 years of existence
that I have ever cried tears of utter joy… ever… and from that day on,
I have been crying them ever day since. Shania, the only way that I
can even express the way that I feel is by saying this… you know when
you got the chance to sing with Dolly Parton on the Oprah show back at
the end of 2003, and you said that she was not only your musical hero,
but also your personal idol, and that the chance to sing with her was
a life-long dream that you’d had, and how you wished that that was one
of the moments that your mother could have seen…you are my Dolly
Parton… ever since I was 8 years old and heard “Any Man of Mine” for
the very first time… you fulfilled my greatest dream, just as one of
yours was fulfilled with Dolly. I can’t even tell you how much that
meant to me… all I can say is that every night I go to bed with tears
in my eyes because all I think about is those 5 minutes that I got to
spend with you on stage… and it makes me cry tears of joy every time I
even hear your name… and every morning a wake up with a giant smile on
my face! You touched my heart on your Up! Tour in such a way, that I
felt like you really, really cared about my happiness during those 5
minutes that I got to spend with you… and feeling like I actually
mattered… and not just to anyone… but to my personal idol… the person
that I can only I hope that I will grow up to be half of the
benevolent person that you are… even just for those 5 minutes… is the
best feeling in the world, and something that I can never forget.
Thank you Shania, for making my dream become a reality… you have no

Hi Shania, I saw you in concert for the first time ever at the NEC
Arena in Birmingham, UK on 23rd February 2004. It was such an honour
to have you play in the Midlands. I loved every minute of the show and
rest assured I was on the floor the whole time dancing and joining in
with your songs, as you asked, "Is there a rule here that says
everyone must stay seated?" (Personally, I have no idea why they
wouldn't get up). You're an incredible performer and your band just
blew me away, and it was cool that JD Blair wore and kept his
Birmingham City soccer shirt. I laughed at the comment you made about
having to watch your waistline after asking a man what he was drinking
and he offered you his Carlsberg. I thought it was great how you
interacted with the audience and how the stage was set out, and the
charity raffle was a fantastic idea. I only wish I could have got to
see you up close as I was in the "nose bleed" section as I would have
liked to get your autograph and shake your hand. Hopefully, that
experience will come true for me on your next tour. Can't wait for you

Shania, Thanks I went to Portland and was so close in Spokane!!!!!! We
spent a bunch of money to make signs and shirts and making the took at
least 12 hours and $100!we even left 3 and a half hours early in hopes
of at least meeting a band member or you but instead I ended up
sitting in front of locked doors listening to them practice trying to
hold back my tears!!!!!!!! We were the only ones with shirts and very
few had signs but we had 4!!!!!!!!!!! At the end we were the last to
leave because no taxi would take us to our hotel! MY MOM WAS SICK TOO!
We saw you leaving and the band too I held my “Hug me Shania” signs
praying for luck but got none. I was 2 FEET away!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 2
Feet!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I wish you could understand. Of course I would go
again but we worked so hard. All I wanted was a picture with you and a
hug!!!!!!!!!!! (Not to mention we had $35 stolen and the seaters lied,
we were supposed to be up close and were the furthest back, I was
ssssssssssssoooooooooooo close!!!) I love you so much!!!!.... I also
went to Portland in Dec. and had no luck!!! if read peoples reviews
all the time about how the met her and hugged her some
twice!!!!!!!!!!!!! It seems to work for everyone else and I worked so
hard; all I wanted was a hug...............I know I should feel lucky
I went but what do I need to do for a simple hug? In fact I’m in tears
right now..........and God knows I tried so hard.....................
we were the ones yelling read our signs, I love you and I will get my
hug no matter what!! I refuse to give up Shania, just watch. It all
started when I first heard you. The person I was with told me I would

I was able to make it to four of your shows on this tour; Chicago in
the park was one of them. I live in Florida, but traveled to Chicago
and St. Louis just to see you. I also made it to two of your Florida
shows. I have an obligation to my family, so I cannot just get up and
go to all of your shows, but would love to. My son struggles with
Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, therefore I must dedicate the majority of
my time with him. I have a little girl too and they are my world.
Enjoy your son and husband during your vacation; the time with family

I saw your concert for the very first time here in Tampa. I could not
have asked for a more enjoyable and entertaining night! I loved the
whole show and all that you do for your fans while on stage. I love

I saw your next to last concert in Tampa Bay on July 8th and it was
absolutely AWESOME!!! I've been a fan since the first album... My
husband and I just love the way your always so happy, the way you
interact with the fans (I was one of the lucky ones to get your
scribble when you were singing and signing at the same time) we could
go on and on!!! And you being a horse lover, well that just tops the
charts (I show and own American Saddlebreds) I even dedicated the song
"you've got a way with me" to my husband on our wedding day!! I
appreciate the influence you also have on kids and people like

Shania,
I just wanted to take a moment to thank you for
the UP tour, your dedication to your music, and to your fans. I had
the opportunity to see you at the Seattle, Wa concert and was amazed
at how you interacted with the fans. Unlike some of the fans, I was
not aggressive enough to get close enough to get an autograph, so I
stood back and just watch, sang my heart out and of course take
pictures. The concert was an 8 hour drive oneway for me, but I would
do again in a heartbeat, infact I would go further if it meant seeing
you again in concert.
I relate to so many of your songs it is
unbelieveable. Many help me get through different stages of my life
or even come to terms with other things. I admire the way you stick
to what you want to do with your music and not what others dictate you
should do.
You are the best and will always be number one in
my book. I look forward to seeing you in concert again and new music,
what ever kind you put out. It's all good! THANK YOU FOR BEING YOU.
