FROM VH1:Three years after vanishing
from the spotlight, cross over country music star Shania Twain is back
... and she’s taking the world by storm!
Shania left the stage in late 1999, moving to Lake Geneva, Switzerland
to spend more time with reclusive husband and producer, Mutt Lange.
The two were soon traveling the world – Europe, the Bahamas, the
Caribbean Islands – seeking inspiration for Shania’s fourth album.
Then on August 12, 2001 Shania gave birth to their first child, a son
they named Eja. While Shania admits being a mother has made her more
emotional and guarded with her time, it hasn’t stopped her from
wearing the midriff baring styles that raised eyebrows in Nashville
years ago … this time with a rock and roll edge that appears to be
working!
Her new album UP! has sold millions since it was released in
November 2002 thanks, in part, to a grueling promotional tour. When
VH1 caught up with her in Nashville she agreed to share her
experiences on the road, documenting her promotional tour on videotape
with the help of her friend and assistant, Rhonda.
In What It’s Like: The Return Of Shania you’ll see the pop
diva’s point of view as she meets doting fans from Nashville to
Canada. You’ll go behind the scenes during TV, radio and print
interviews. Watch what happens as Shania turns the camera on the
reporters themselves!
Follow Shania as she risks a stroll through a local drugstore in
search of a birthday present for her husband, only to get mobbed by
fans. Take a peek at her private home in Northern Ontario. Get to know
the real Shania: what she eats, how she picks out her clothes, as well
as hair and makeup secrets.
It’s a deeply personal look at Shania Twain, the mother, the wife, the
star … on What It’s Like: The Return Of Shania.
